Throughout August and September the gallery shows a Summer Exhibition featuring work by four selected artists - Julia Cooper, represented by DSC for ten years, presents her latest semi-abstract still lifes and abstract compositions responding to the Cornish coast; Peter Ceredig-Evans, who hails from Cornwall, is a contemporary painter now living and working on Australia's Gold Coast; internationally collected painter, Parastoo Ganjei shows sumptuous compositions of floral still lifes; taking themes of the Somerset landscape, Frances Watts who trained at Byam Shaw School of Art, shows some of her largest paintings. These works carry a deep luminosity and richness of palette.
Accompanying this work is a series of Moon Jars by The Cornish Potter. These pit-fired ceramics are the artist's most recent exploration of form.
