This exhibition of 20th Century Modernist Masters brings together a collection of rare and limited edition textiles presented by the international leader in modern artist textiles, Gray M.C.A. It includes works by significant and renowned artists including Georges Braque, Bernard Buffet, Marc Chagall, Elizabeth Frink, Barbara Hepworth, Patrick Heron, Henry Moore, Pablo Picasso and John Piper.
In a collaborative response to this collection, David Simon Contemporary has curated an exhibition of original paintings and works on paper by many of these 20th Century masters, including paintings by Sonia Delaunay and John Piper and original linocuts by Picasso, creating a fascinating survey exhibition, which explores the artists’ journeys from the easel and the translation into textile.
